Athlon Games

Athlon Games was an American video game publisher based in Burbank, California, founded in May 2018 as a publishing division of Leyou Technologies. The company served as a co-publisher for major gaming titles and managed publishing operations across consoles and PC platforms. Athlon Games was notably involved in projects such as The Lord of the Rings MMO in partnership with Amazon Game Studios, and served as a publishing partner for Telltale Games titles. The company was acquired by Tencent in December 2020 as part of Tencent's $1.5 billion acquisition of its parent company Leyou Technologies. Following this acquisition, Athlon Games was integrated into Tencent's gaming portfolio. The company was officially dissolved in October 2021, with its operations consolidated under Tencent's broader structure.
